People often assume that storytelling begins with a story.
My experience has been the opposite.
Storytelling begins with creating the conditions in which a story can emerge.
Most people already carry an abundance of material within them: memories, dreams, fears, desires, images, fragments of experience, unfinished questions, intuitions, symbols, and possibilities. The challenge is rarely the absence of imagination. More often, it is the presence of habits, expectations, judgments, and mental structures that keep imagination dormant.
My work is therefore not to provide stories.
It is to create the conditions in which a person's own material can emerge.
Everything within The Nine Moons is designed toward that purpose.
The archetypal cards. The symbolic objects. The mythological frameworks. The music. The circle of participants. The invitation to collaborate. The temporary suspension of judgment. The open-ended nature of the task. The effort to hear the quietest voice in the room. The encouragement to follow an unexpected idea before dismissing it.
None of these elements are the destination.
They are part of a pathway.
A pathway designed to help participants move beyond the structures that often limit creative perception and reconnect with the vital force of their own imagination.
I call this movement From Chaos to Cosmos.
Chaos is not disorder in a negative sense. It is the field of unrealized possibility that exists before form appears. Cosmos is the moment in which fragments begin to connect, patterns emerge, and something that did not exist before comes into being.
This is what interests me most.
The moment when a room full of strangers becomes a community.
The moment when an isolated idea becomes a shared story.
The moment when uncertainty becomes curiosity.
The moment when a participant discovers that they are capable of creating something they did not know they carried within them.
I call this hidden potential a Protostory.
Not a finished narrative, but the seed of one.
The role of the facilitator is not to dictate its shape.
The role of the facilitator is to create the conditions in which it can emerge, connect with others, and begin its journey from Chaos to Cosmos.

When we open ourselves up to Mythic Imagination, we can see not only the essence of our inner stories but also the deeper meaning underlying the events that have shaped our lives. The workshop is inspired by the uniqueness and integrity of your stories, which, through your imagination and the surfacing of archetypal images, are transformed into origin myth, resulting in the birth of a new personal cosmos.
